My first job in high school was at a convenience store in Kingston, NY called the Fill-n-Shop. I worked the register, re-stocked the cooler, re-filled the hot dogs, mopped the floor, made sandwiches, got robbed, things like that.
During college, I spent Summer breaks working at a residence for adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental conditions whose families were unable to take care of them. I helped residents get out of bed in the morning, get back into bed at night, and everything in between.
Then, seemingly out of nowhere, I was working in the traffic department of an agency. I was terrible at it, so they made me copywriter 9 months later. I liked it, and that’s what I’ve been doing ever since. You can learn more about that here or here.
I’m married to the world’s greatest pancake chef. We have a dog and a house. We had a kid (a cute one) and then another one (also cute). Now it’s today and you’re here and I’m here, so maybe that’s a sign for you to get in touch so we can get something started.
